Levi’s Made & Crafted - History
Back in the days, it was common practice for Levi’s representatives to personally travel to stores that were not yet carrying their brand, bringing with them a suitcase filled with a selection of their fine products.
After personally taking the store owner through the offering, they would leave a sample of the key elements that make a pair of Levi’s jeans “positively superior”: the Cone denim, the Oilcloth Guarantee Ticket and of course a copper rivet to hold it all together.
This salesman sample was in use from around 1908 up until the early 1930’s and they thought it would be nice to revisit this particular bit of history and base Levi’s® Made & Crafted™ branding and hang tag on it.
Levi’s Made & Crafted recently opened a pop-up shop at Smith + Butler on 225 Smith Street Brooklyn, NY 11231
